Who Needs to be Blogging?

from:

There are many people doing business online that haven't yet jumped on the blogging bandwagon. How do you know whether or not you need to be blogging for the sake of your online business when so many aren't doing it yet? Is it really required to be successful in Internet marketing?

Here's the one secret that many of the big names in the business won't reveal. Chances are they are blogging you just don't realize it's their blogs you're reading. Those who have been around the world of Internet marketing for any length of time will tell you that they have a few closely guarded niches that they are not interested in sharing with anyone. The reason? Every time they reveal niches that have been profitable for them in the past, a million people interested in Internet marketing jump on the bandwagon and flood the niche.

What this means is that they have gone to great lengths to hide the niches they are working in and will publish blogs within those niches under pseudonyms so that the market doesn't become overcrowded. Overcrowded niches drive operating costs up, provide more competition, and significantly lower the return on investment. Many excellent cash cows have been bled dry by Internet marketers following the gurus and simply overrunning the flood banks within the niche. The big names also know that blogging remains one of, if not, the best ways to build valuable backlinks, generate traffic, and boost revenue. They are definitely blogging whether they are revealing their blog niches or not.

So, do you need to be blogging?

Read this, if you read nothing else online today. If you want to make money online, you need to be blogging. Blogging lets people know you are in business, lets them know that you are serious about business, and helps solidify your prominence within the niche you are hoping to dominate. In other words, blogging works, in many ways, as your online business card. It's an introduction, a vote of confidence, and an indicator of your commitment to your niche rolled up into one package.

Who needs to be blogging today?

Anyone wanting to make money online. Whether you are blogging to promote your offline business, hoping to build up a reputation online within a niche, to promote affiliate products, or to make money for someone else, chances are there is a reason that you should be blogging. If your goal is making money, online or off, your business could benefit from your blogging efforts. When your business is Internet marketing the need to build a solid blog is even more critical.

In other words, if you are interested in making money, you need to be blogging. This is the long and short of it. Anyone who is interested in building a better income, gaining new business, or increasing exposure needs to be blogging. Chances are pretty good that if you are reading this you need to be blogging like so many others in the business.
